Membership Services Coordinator Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting member relations activities at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). This position provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers in support of the member relations division.
Key Responsibilities
Conference Support
Responds to conference and exhibit related inquiries via phone and email; serves as primary contact for customers seeking assistance with registration issues.
Manages registration for conference events and exhibit personnel. Responsibilities include: - creating registrations, producing registration reports, assist with reconciling payments, generating conference confirmations and invoices as needed, and making changes to registration information, including cancellations and transfers.
Maintains inventory of registration supplies and maintains the shared spreadsheet to facilitate adequate levels of inventory items for conferences.
Produces attendee name badges, event tickets and registration envelopes; assists with assembly and shipping of registration packet materials.
Prepares all materials needed for onsite conference registration; coordinates, organizes and manages all on-site conference registration duties; trains on-site staff and volunteers on the distribution of registration packages and credentials.
Travel is required to oversee onsite conference registration and to provide overall conference support as needed.
Member Relations
Serve as primary point of contact for prospective and current members seeking information and support from NAHRO. This includes helping members with member website access and general membership-related inquiries.
Maintain integrity of the NAHRO membership database; This position assumes responsibility for ensuring member data is correct and complete to facilitate effective communication with members.
Support organizational membership activities: assist with member recruitment, onboarding, and member retention activities. This includes processing new membership applications, welcoming new members, and providing general assistance to members as needed to help ensure member satisfaction.
On occasion, serve as backup to the receptionist and to the customer relations specialist as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
