The position provides accounting support to SNA and the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) and maintains organization financial records in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. The position oversees day-to-day accounting operations for general ledger transactions and account reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial statements preparation. The position works closely with staff to track expenses, to assure grant funds are managed in accordance with grant financial requirements and is responsible for maintaining a system of internal controls to ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded.
We are looking for a forward-thinking, customer service-oriented individual who is attentive to details and has experience working with budgets exceeding $5M inclusive of grants and donations. The successful candidate will have strong skills in problem analysis and an ability to develop practical, timely, and organizationally appropriate solutions and communicate technical financial information to non-technical audiences. Expertise with IntAcct or other financial management platforms and a knowledge of integration opportunities between the financial components of various systems (e.g., association/customer relationship management system, registration system, etc.) are a plus.
