SUMMARY
The Information Strategy & Business Analysis department focuses on the management and implementation of various technology with business process excellence to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
The Business Analyst (BA) collaborates with the supervising project manager, teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to explore and identify business needs, strategize and develop systems and procedures, provide technical expertise, manage end-to-end business analysis and improvement projects, and ensure successful adoption of changes. As a liaison between business units and IT, the BA facilitates process modeling, research efforts, identifies and corrects issues in applications, and supports cross-departmental projects.
This position is Remote:Employees can work remotely as part of a 35-hour workweekwith core hours from 10am-3pm Eastern time. A reliable high-speed internet connection is essential.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Process Improvement
Serve as a business consultant to internal stakeholders in technology, business processes, and data integrity projects.
Gain understanding of key functions and processes throughout the organization to identify policy, process, or product enhancement opportunities.
Maintain engagement with departments post-implementation to measure, monitor transition, and identify improvement opportunities.
Research, analyze, and recommend solutions to meet current and future business needs.
Handle requirements gathering, assist in the development and testing of new software applications or system enhancements, and promote user adoption.
Provide ongoing support to stakeholders and ISBA team as needed.
Knowledge Management in SharePoint
Gather requirements for SfN collaboration needs regarding Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft apps and tools.
Collaborate, test, and troubleshoot with internal stakeholders on initiatives to enhance SharePoint sites’ functionality and user experience.
Create pages, sites, site collections, forms, and workflows using out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities.
Increase user adoption and support the organization-wide SharePoint training strategy.
Communications
Engage stakeholders collaboratively, managing expectations and addressing uncertainties through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Prepare actionable memos, business cases, functional requirements, process workflows, updates, SOPs, and other key communications for various audiences.
Advocate for change management, emphasizing the successful adoption of new processes and systems with a focus on the “people” aspect of change.
New Opportunities and Business Case discovery
Conduct preliminary investigations for project requests, consulting with business and IT stakeholders to translate needs into relevant documentation.
Stay updated on in-house and market tools and technologies to enhance project management, information handling, and productivity.
Perform research and data analysis to identify business trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Benchmark industry-wide best practices through peer association comparisons.
Coordinate the Request for Proposal process, validate requirements, identify potential vendors, and facilitate contract review and selection.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, and a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience required, nonprofit experience a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate self-sufficiency, organization, and discipline to handle multiple projects across different teams and content areas with attention to planning, budget, implementation, and client hand-off.
Broad knowledge of process improvement methodologies. Experience in documentation and requirements gathering, including functional and business requirements, process flows, process modeling techniques, and workflows.
Proficiency with business software tools, including MS Office application suite, with strong focus on SharePoint. Experience with Association Management Systems (AMS) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM), data analysis and reporting software, and content management systems preferred.
Excellent writing skills to produce clear and compelling reports with analysis and recommendations.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to work effectively with colleagues and outside vendors.
Strong attention to detail in managing communications and tasks for multi-department projects.
Experience leading meetings with stakeholders to share findings, gather input, provide status updates, and more. Demonstrated interest in professional development and growth within the BA role and within the ISBA team.
Language Ability:
Excellent written and spoken English skills. Ability to frame written and spoken communications for different technical and non-technical audiences, in order to gain understanding of issues and drive consensus.
Math Ability:
Basic math skills required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
