The Virginia insurance agent continuing education (“CE”) requirements and the establishment of the Board by the Code of Virginia (the “Code”) (Sections 38.2-1866 through 38.2-1874) are set forth in Article 7 of Chapter 18 of Title 38.2. Those statutes set forth, among other things, biennial course completion requirements that licensed insurance agents (who are referred to herein as “licensees”), whether resident or nonresident, must meet if they are to retain their Virginia insurance licenses. The VICEB administers the CE requirements.
